The Project

This Wisconsin homeowner's inground pool, complete with slide and diving board, had become a maintenance burden. They wanted the yard back.

We removed the deck, equipment, slide and diving board, then broke up the shell so it could never hold water. Drainage holes were opened through the floor, and the nine-foot deep end was filled with engineered fill compacted in lifts to prevent settling.

Topsoil and grading finished the job, leaving a level yard ready for lawn or a new patio.

Scope Highlights

  • Deck, slide and equipment removal
  • Shell demolition and drainage holes
  • Engineered fill compacted in lifts
  • Final grading and topsoil
  • Permit and inspection coordination

FAQ

About This Project

Does removing a pool hurt home value?

In most Wisconsin neighborhoods a properly filled pool removes a maintenance and liability concern and returns usable yard, which buyers generally prefer. Proper documentation of the fill is important for future sale disclosures.

How long does pool demolition take?

Most residential pool removals take about a week from demolition to final grading, depending on access and weather.
